Edinburgh Napier University, Friday 3 April 2020
BAMS runs a rotating three-year series of postgraduate training days which focus on the three key parts of most salaried academic contracts: research, teaching and administration.
This year the training day focuses on teaching and pedagogy. The focus will be on discursive sessions through which attendees can develop their own practice. While the schedule is yet to be finalised, sessions are likely to focus on:
- Teaching difficulty / modernism in the classroom
- Teaching at / to different levels and in different settings
- Pedagogical techniques, methods and approaches
Details of speakers and session leaders will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
The day will run from 11am-5.30pm. Lunch is not provided, but there will be a generous lunch break, information on local places to eat, and a breakout room if you prefer to bring your own food.
Thanks to the Centre for Literature and Writing at Edinburgh Napier University for supporting the event.
We look forward to seeing you in Edinburgh!
